Rocket League – Pioneers & Moist Preparing for RLCS 2023

Charles #juicy Sabiani of HEET has been added by Moist Esports, following the tumultuous transfer of Finlay #rise Ferguson to Oxygen Esports. The 17-year-old joins the Fall Major runners-up and must not only learn to compete at the greatest level, but also step into the shoes of one of the best players of 2022.

Meanwhile, Prior to the #RLCS 2022–23 Winter Split, the Pioneers are anticipated to sign Hunter #hntr Tomeski. The young Australian will take over for Lachlan #Superlachie Gordon, who, together with trainers Chris #Threes Keller and Isaac #Prof G., was let go by Pioneers after the new year.

Moist Esports Building for 2023

Although Mallo #AztraL Ernst's epic performance helped Moist Esports take second at the Fall Major to round off the Fall Split, their online activities were far from stellar. Given the team's level of play, two semifinal exits were quite disappointing.

This was evident from the team's 9th–11th place performance in the Fall Invitational. Even yet, in 2022, Rise and Joe #Joyo Young were able to keep up their streak of appearing in every Major championship game. Even yet, Rise showed a wish to consider his alternatives and chose Version 1 in North America at first.

The Englishman moved to Oxygen Esports as soon as Moist had finished signing contract when the deal went through on deadline day, causing a domino effect of other transfer deals to fall through in the last hours of the trade window.

Juicy, who made his RLCS debut in the season's penultimate Regional in 2021–2022, showed promise during the Fall Split by qualifying for both the Fall Cup and the Fall Invitational, where HEET placed 12th–14th overall.

This experience has allowed juicy to feel more at ease with the level of competition while playing with his countrymen Jovan #parka Richet and Léo #Forece Boulon, but this chapter will require him to adjust even more quickly if he wants to find himself on a plane to San Diego for the Winter Major in a few months.

Pioneers’ Situation

After turning 15 in August 2022-23, Hntr made his RLCS debut during the Fall Split. Along with Bailey #mock Bedford and former Renegades star Christopher #Siki Magee, who retired after the Fall Split, he was a member of the team The Lakeshow.

The three finished second overall in the first Fall Regional, falling to Pioneers 1-4, before placing in the top eight in each of the subsequent two Regionals. Hntr averaged a 1.00 rating and 0.67 goals per game in the RLCS while he was on The Lakeshow.

Pioneers will be hoping hntr can infuse new life into a team that has lost its domestic dominance to PWR over the 2022-23 Fall Split despite qualifying for every international RLCS event in 2022.

Pioneers also had trouble at the Fall Major, when they lost all three games they played against foreign opponents. Superlachie was consequently released on January 12 along with the team's coaching staff. Jon #bananahead Anastasakis and Ethan #Scrub Klumpp will take over their respective starting positions.
