Rocket League – Big Roster Moves for Dignitas & OpTic Gaming

Finlay #rise Ferguson and Robert #comm Kyser's transfers to Version1 and OpTic Gaming, respectively, were unsuccessful, therefore Christopher #majicbear Acevedo is anticipated to stay with the Green Wall for the #RLCS 2022–23 Winter Split.

The Englishman finally joined Oxygen Esports in place of Ole #oaly van Doorn when Rise and Version1 were unable to reach an agreement. After that, V1 called comm back, which allowed majicbear to remain in the OpTic roster alongside Austin #AYYJAYY Aebi and Slater #Retals Thomas.

Meanwhile, team Dignitas is attempting to maximize the potential of one of Rocket League's newest professionals following Robbie #delta Zager's removal from the starting lineup. For the RLCS 2022–23 Winter Split, Jordan #Evoh is anticipated to be added to the lineup.

OpTic Gaming Situation

As a result of the recently made moves, #majicbear, who was rescued by #AYYJAYY and #Retals, became the second domino to fall (or, rather, get back up). Since winning RLRS Season 9 and being promoted to the RLCS on Omni Nation alongside Daniel #Jordan Bholla and Oliver Kenneth #percy Ortiz, the 18-year-old has been on the radar of North America's best clubs.

He then put on a run of outstanding performances throughout RLCS X and 2021–22 on Torrent and Alpine Esports. Despite finishing no higher than the top eight in his first split while partnering with two of the region's best players, majicbear has continued to demonstrate his promise and will have another chance to do so in the upcoming Winter Split.

Dignitas Upgrading The Team

Dignitas has a long and illustrious history in Rocket League, having had squads under their control win one World Championship, one DreamHack, two European Championships during the League Play era, and one Regional competition during the circuit era.

They were a European powerhouse for the majority of their time in Rocket League, but after their RLCS 2021–2022 lineup disbanded, they moved to North America and recruited delta, Andres #dreaz Jordan, and Andrew #Andy Nolan for the 2022–2023 campaign.

Even while Dignitas wasn't anticipated to regularly make majors, on paper, they appeared to be a squad that would regularly fight for top-eight finishes throughout the season. Their best performance was a 3-2 result in the Fall Cup, but they were unable to get through even one Swiss Stage.

They dropped Delta early in the transfer window and started looking for a dynamic new third after their mediocre results throughout the first half of the season were clearly disappointing.

Evoh, who was highly regarded before to becoming eligible for the RLCS to the extent where XSET signed him before he was old enough to compete, may have been the answer. As soon as Evoh and his team fell out of the Fall Open closed qualifiers 0-3 and he was benched for the remainder of the split, XSET's lofty aspirations that he would be the centerpiece of a new era of competitive Rocket League for the organization were dashed.

Evoh had apparent potential, but he and the other XSET members had trouble getting along as a team. Dignitas wants to embrace Evoh and is hoping that the potential he, along with former regional champion #dreaz, and veteran #Andy have demonstrated will propel them into Major contention moving ahead.
