Fy joins Invictus Gaming
Xu “Fy” Linsen's choice has fallen on Invictus Gaming. For the Asian eSports clan, the player's signing is of course a milestone.
Despite already being 27 years old, “Fy” continues to be one of the best Dota Support players. He brings Invictus Gaming to a completely new level.
The successes of “Fy” so far
The Dota 2 player “Fy” and his team have managed to qualify for the main event of the Dota scene several times in the past years, namely for The International.
So far, the Chinese player has been denied the big title. However, he has finished in the top 4 of the tournament several times:
- 1st place at The International 2014
- Place at The International 2015
- Place at The International 2018
- Place at The International 2019
Yu Linsen has been signed to big players in the Dota scene, including Vici Gaming and PSG.LGD.
The last engagement at Elephant
Most recently, “Fy” was in the lineup at Elephant eSports Clan. He played The International 10 together with top players like Yang, Eurus and Somnus.
However, the team didn't really live up to its own expectations there. Despite some good games, success failed to materialize. Elephant had to be satisfied with the placement ranks between 13 and 16.
Directly after The International 10, “Fy” had declared that he would take a break for health reasons. The break of several months has now finally been put to rest with his joining Invictus Gaming.
Turbulence at Invictus Gaming after TI10
Invictus Gaming was also at the start of The International 10. The e-Sport clan put in a top performance and was only defeated in the semi-finals by the eventual winners, Team Spirit.
In the relay stage Invictus had won group A. Immediately after Masters, however, things went haywire for the Chinese.
Team captain Hu “kaka” Liangzhi left the organization, causing the team to miss out on even making it to the top division in the Chinese regional league. Liangzhi had then moved to RNG. With “Fy”, the team is now looking to build on its old successes. The star player is to close the gap that “kaka” has left.
Invictus Gaming announced the signing of “Fy” during the ongoing major in Stockholm. For the experts, it is clear that Pan “Fade” Yi will be dropped from the line-up.
