CSGO – Roster Purgatory Starts Right After IEM Katowice

Danish rifleman Valdemar #valde Bjrn Vangs has been taken off the active roster, according to #ENCE. The international squad has been finding it difficult to perform at the level they were prior to losing Lotan #Spinx Giladi to Vitality in 2022, therefore they have chosen to change their starting five.

Matthieu #matHEND Roquigny has opted to leave his position as head coach, #HEET has stated. The announcement comes while the team is in the middle of a squad overhaul.

HEET Situation

With the team winning events like the Elisa Invitational Spring and the ESL National Championship France last year, matHEND leaves French team HEET having helped them establish themselves as one of the top teams on the periphery of tier one.

The team did not do as well in competitions with tougher competition, failing to get past the RMRs for either the Antwerp or Rio Majors the previous year and placing joint-last in the ESL Pro League Season 16 competition.

Aurélien #afro Drapier and Alexandre #bodyy Pianaro have left the team, and the Paris Major is just around the corner. Both players joined LDLC and Falcons, respectively. They have yet to formally announce the lineup they would use going forward, however they fielded Bryan #Maka Canda, Matthieu #Razzmo, and Lucas #Lucky Chastang during their most recent dismal campaign at the IEM Brazil closed qualifier.

HEET wished all the best to matHEND on his future endeavors and thanked him for his efforts to the team, adding that “our doors will always be open for him.”

ENCE Crisis

Valde's benching comes a day after Guy #Nertz Iluz of Endpoint, who the Finnish organization had previously targeted for the summer of 2022, skipped the RMR qualifier for the Blast.tv Paris Major with his current club “for personal reasons.”

Although for the time being academy player HENU will fill in for the squad in the upcoming CCT Central Europe Malta Finals until a permanent solution for the starting five is found, HLTV learnt that ENCE has expressed fresh interest in the Israeli and may make a bid for the 23-year-old.

Niklas #Willkey Ojalainen, general manager of ENCE, said, “We have decided to bench valde owing to discrepancies in his playstyle compared to the rest of the squad. Unfortunately, during the past six months, things haven't worked out as well as we had planned, but we still want to thank Valde for his time with us and his efforts as a dedicated player and a fantastic teammate.

ENCE is now traveling to Malta with a member of their academy team in order to compete in the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, which will take place from February 16 to 19, with a chance to win a position in the CCT Global Finals and the majority of $100,000 prize pool.
