Timo #Spiidi Richter and Fritz #slaxz- Dietrich have joined ALTERNATE aTTaX starting lineup, restoring the starting lineup to full strength in time for the 2023 season to begin.
Max #PANIX Hangebruch and Patrick #pdy Merken, who were given permission to explore their choices before the end of 2022 and who subsequently left the company after just six months with the group, are replaced by the new pair.
The Road To Change
Spiidi joins ALTERNATE aTTaX after a brief two-month experience with cowana that ended with the closure of the company. The German only played in three games while actively participating for the team, which resulted in a run to fifth place in the ESL Championship Autumn 2022.
The newest member, #slaxz-, on the other hand, inks a contract with ALTERNATE aTTaX after nearly two years of service as Sprout's representative. The German marksman was one of his team's more trustworthy players, posting a 1.09 rating across 583 maps and standing out for being a member of the team that qualified for the IEM Rio Major Legends Stage.
With the signing of the group, #Spiidi and #slaxz-, who have been friends since they were both students at Sprout, reunite. From January 2021 to July 2022, when Spiidi left the organization just before the team's overseas pivot during the summer player break, the two played together. During their tenure together, the team won a few games at the tier-two level of competition, including ESEA Premier Season 39 and ESL Championship Autumn 2021.
Past and Future for Alternate Attax
“Our year 2022 was distinguished by ups and downs. Although the team's performance was enhanced by the roster adjustments we made over the summer, we still fell short of meeting all of our objectives “says Lennart Kreuter, project director for ALTERNATE aTTaX.
“We came to the conclusion that adjustments were required in order to achieve our long-term objectives after extensive discussion with our staff and players. We were fortunate to add two German veterans, Spiidi and slaxz, who not only provide experience but also a fresh outlook on the game to the team.”
“We decided to make changes to the team after 2022 ended with strong international performances and a heartbreaking loss in the National Championship (ESL Championship),” the team's manager Lukas Nowak remarked.
“PANIX and pdy will leave the team in 2023. They both significantly contributed to our success, and we wish them luck on their future endeavors. Nevertheless, we are eager to continue working with FreeZe, PerX, awzek, and our coach Xenn for another year. With Spiidi and Slaxz, we are prepared for what could be a fruitful year.”
