Call of Duty League 2023 – Clayster Makes A Comeback To Las Vegas Legion

After a brief absence in the second half of 2022, one of the most successful players in Call of Duty's competitive history will return to the league the following season.

The new Las Vegas Legion roster for 2023 features Clayster as its face. The CDL company revealed today that he will fight against Temp, TJHaLy, and Prolute.

In 2022, Clayster was a member of the New York Subliners. The three-time world champion was benched in March as a result of the team's early-season struggles. The 30-year-old will return to the CDL for 2023 after competing in the amateur circuit to close out the Vanguard season. At the time, Clayster made it obvious that he wasn't ready to retire.

The previous year was “insanely difficult,” as Clayster noted on Twitter. “This year, I want to prove to everyone that I still have what it takes to win a few more. I'm eager for the season to start and will do my best to make it a success.

The Next Season Goals

Next year, the veteran will have the challenging task of trying to turn around a team that has spent the majority of its tenure in the Call of Duty League at the bottom of the standings. The Legion will be eager for a bright start in a new home as they relocate from Paris to Las Vegas ahead of the 2023 CDL season.

But Clayster won't have to carry this weight by himself. Temp, a gifted 23-year-old who spent the previous season with the Paris Legion, will be his companion. Prolute is well known for his time spent filling in for OpTic Texas last year, while TJHaLy is traveling to Vegas after participating with the Boston Breach in 2022.

It won't be long before Legion and Clayster supporters can catch this new team in action, either. Major One of the Modern Warfare 2 season will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina this December, marking the CDL's earliest start date to date. The 2023 CDL season's game, Modern Warfare 2, will debut on October 28.

This addition to LV Legion’s roster makes them contenders once again in a crowded North-American competition. The depth they needed might finally be there, so it will be interesting to see if they click together and create the chemistry that will last them throughout the whole season, and possibly lead them all the way to the title.

If you are a Las Vegas Legion fan, these news are truly a reason to celebrate, but even if you’re not, you should be happy as this means that the matches in front of us will be filled with nothing but pure action.
