Continue reading for more details on the teams, players, and tournament structure.
Here is the information for some of the teams:
Eight teams will comprise the North America League 2023. In comparison to last year's North American League, Astralis and TSM have left the region's top-flight.
M80:
M80 have one of the most intriguing rosters in the North America League 2023. The main lineup of XSET made it to the quarter-finals of the Charlotte Major and the semi-finals of the Berlin Major. The squad reached the top eight at the Six Invitational 2023.
With the additions of David #Iconic Ifidon and William #Spoit Löfstedt to the roster, the team hopes to improve its performance and achieve worldwide glory for the first time.
Soniqs:
Soniqs revealed the acquisition of Ben #CTZN McMillan one month before the Six Invitational 2023. After the first lower-bracket contest, the squad was sent home with him.
Despite failing to make the top 12, the Soniqs made a strong impact in the group stage, defeating Wolves Esports, Team Liquid, and Dire Wolves. Surely, the Six Jönköping Major semi-finalists can only get stronger.
Spacestation Gaming
Spacestation Gaming chose to make roster adjustments following the end of the Six Invitational 2023. With the exception of Alec #Fultz Fultz and Matthew #Hotancold Stevens, the astronauts greeted four members of the previous Astralis roster: two players, two coaches, and Bryan #Merc Wrzek.
Mirage
Mirage has assembled an insane squad comprised of athletes from various North American League rosters.
After splitting ways with the astronauts, Nathanial #Rampy Duvail and Alexander “Yeti” Lawson have joined with Spacestation Gaming. The lineup is completed by Astralis' Matthew #Dpfire Macway, Soniqs' Evan #Kanzen Bushore, and Beastcoast's Damian #Surf Medina.
Furthermore, the squad is backed up by four staff employees. Mirage hopes to compete for another international event with this new team after winning the Jönköping Major.
The North America League will be split into two sections. To begin, the league's eight rosters will fight in a round robin format with BO1 encounters. While the top six teams progress to the next phase, the lowest two teams will be relegated to the NA Open Phase 3.
The second step is the NA League Deciders. All of the contests from now on will be BO3. While the top two seeds advance to the NA League Deciders semi-finals, the remaining four will begin in the quarter-finals.
The following teams will be placed in the bracket:
- Third vs. Sixth in the first encounter
- Fourth vs. Fifth in the second encounter.
The victors will progress to the semi-finals, while the losers will compete for seeding at the Major NA LCQ.
