League of Legends: Vitality going stronger into Spring Split

Despite the fact that spring is typically associated with calm winds and light rain, the #LEC might be receiving back one of the most exciting stars before the season starts.

According to Blix’s Alejandro Gomis and Marian Stoica, former #Fnatic marksman Elias #Upset #Lipp is allegedly returning as the primary AD carry for team #Vitality in the upcoming split. Since the beginning of the year, the 23-year-old has been waiting on Fnatic’s sideline as a result of the team’s ability to return longtime veteran Martin #Rekkles Larsson.

Upset will join one of the best teams in the LEC if this roster change is confirmed. With a dominant 7-2 record and first-place result in the regular season this past split, Vitality was a heavy favorite to take the title. Later on, though, the team struggled to maintain its momentum in the Winter Split group stage, ultimately dropping four straight matches to KOI and SK Gaming.

Most observers and supporters were surprised by Vitality’s early elimination, but this potential squad change may be just what the team needs, to make a run at the LEC TITLE. Upset was one of the top marksmen in his class even during his final season with Fnatic.

According to League data aggregator Oracle’s Elixir, #upset finished in the top five in kills, KDA, overall kill share, and early game statistics for the 2022 LEC Summer Split. He was a constant danger to hyper-carry champions like Jinx, Zeri, Hayah, and Aphelios because he had the fourth-highest average damage to champions per minute in the league.

In addition, upset has a ton of playoff experience and has competed against some of the finest players in the world. Overall, the skilled marksman’s late-game ability could provide Vitality with the security it needs to defeat some of the other teams in the region.

Since the 2023 LEC Spring Split begins on March 11, Vitality will need to clarify any roster changes relatively soon.
