For both players and spectators of League of Legends in Europe, the 2023 LEC Winter Split has been full of ups and downs, especially given the league’s new structure. Young prodigy
Thomas #Exakick Foucou, a rookie AD carry for SK Gaming, is one standout who has improved since making his #LEC debut and has emerged as one of the finest players in his position. This past split, the 19-year-old prodigy assumed the role as the organization’s main star, aiding the group to finish as a top-three squad for the first time since 2015.

Throughout the season, the rising star has used a significant amount of resources, leading the LEC with a staggering 30.5 percentage share of his team’s total gold. Thanks to a ton of gold and a lot of help from his teammates, Exakick is able to carry his squad on champions like Zeri, Lucian and Caitlyn.

However, Exakick is not the only player that has been contributing to SK’s success. Even though his numbers aren’t spectacular and his champion pool isn’t as fascinating as others, Mark #Markoon van Woensel has been quietly producing at a high level, setting up plays and moving his team into beneficial situations.
In general, SK has emerged as a popular favorite for the 2023 Winter Split and a dark horse for un unforeseen LEC title run. The squad will need to make yet another enormous improvement as they approach the best-of-series stage because the rest of the group appears to be as difficult.
