3. Wager the bet365 bonus with eSports betting market WoW

After the deposited funds have been completely wagered once, the bonus is ready for betting. You have to place bets with a minimum odds of 1.5 and wager the bonus a total of three times. As I already mentioned, I would like to focus on eSports betting.

As a former #WoW player, it was clear to me that I wanted to place some bets on tournaments in this #eSports market. So the Arena World Champs, held during the annual #Bilzzcon, came just in time. The first round is similar to the preliminary round of the soccer world cup or European championship, where very good teams play against bad teams and it is often clear from the beginning who is likely to win. This was also the case with Arena World Champs betting in the preliminary rounds. In such a case, one speaks of “clear differences in quality between the teams”. Therefore, in the preliminary rounds, we oriented ourselves mostly on the odds, which already say a lot about who will probably win. So in most cases we bet on the favorites, hoping to convert a little money.

Bet365 eSports betting – this is how it works

To place eSports bets, click on E-Sports on the left side of the bet365 website, then click on the sport you are interested in, in my case WoW. I wanted to place bets on both the overall winner and the winner (2 options) (check the box). At the top of the page, after making your selection, you will see the button “Create betting list”. Click on it to display your betting options.

First, I placed a total of four single bets under the tab “WoW – World Arena Champs – Winner (2 options)”. And as just mentioned, always on the favorite:

bet365 eSports Tournament Tip: A long-term bet right at the start?

In addition to the single bets, I also placed a long-term bet. This is very risky so early and you should be relatively sure on which team you put particularly high hopes. For me, it was clearly Method. Why? If you have ever played WoW, you might know that Method was or is one of the biggest and most successful guilds of all time and that they were almost unbeatable in PvE as well as in PvP. I'm not up to date on who's at the top of the game, but quick research shows that Method is still one of the top guilds.

Is Method still ‘unbeatable'?

Therefore, I thought a long term bet on Method can't be all wrong. The Odds are also in favor of a bet on Method. At the Arena World Champs, Method is even represented by two teams, one Method: Triforce, the team for North America, and one Method: Synergy, competing for the EU. Since Method itself is a US guild, I assumed that the NA team would probably be the stronger one, so I ultimately decided to place a long-term bet on Method: Triforce.

Method owns US and EU team – which one will win?

To do this, select the Overall Winner tab, then simply select Method:Triforce and place the bet. Since long-term bets on the winner of a tournament in eSports are often only possible before the start of the tournament, we had to proceed this way here. A similar regulation can often be found at larger soccer events. For this, these long-term bets have relatively good odds even on the favorite, which in this case start at 3.25.

Why do I play such low stakes? Everybody starts small

As you probably noticed, I bet only very small amounts, only between 0,50 and 2 Euro. How high you place your first bets is up to you, but I decided for small amounts, because I did not want to risk my entire balance and I was also really not sure about some outcomes of the matches. And since I am still at the very beginning of my Betting career, I am happy about any amount won, no matter how high it turns out to be.

Our tip: Watch live broadcasts on the big screen

Of course, I followed the matches live. Even though my potential winnings are small, the bets significantly increased the excitement of the broadcasts. For this, I watched the Twitch stream and because my smartphone screen is not big enough for me to see everything really well, I transferred the image to the TV using Chromecast. This gives the TV at home a real stadium feeling. Since the events are moderated by relatively good presenters who really get into the broadcast, the eSports weekend was a real highlight for me personally!

By the way, millions of players followed the live competitions via the Twitch streams and the official streams of the game manufacturer Blizzard. This is a good sign that eSports is becoming more and more important and that more and more people are finding entertainment value here.

How do I get Twitch on the big smart TV?

Since it will still take a while until all these sports competitions will be broadcast on normal TV, we can only recommend that you get an appropriate reception option for Twitch. Almost all competitions are broadcast on the streaming portal. The cheapest option would be a Chromecast from Google, which you can use to transfer the stream from your smartphone or tablet to the TV. If you own an iPhone, you can use the Apple TV. The Twitch app is also available for consoles like the Xbox ONE or PS4. Last but not least, you can of course also connect a PC to your TV and then transmit the stream from it. On the big screen you can see every action perfectly, and at the same time the moderators create a real stadium feeling. For example, the well-known YouTuber Unge was one of the moderators at the past WoW MDI competitions!

Finally, an insider tip: Is underdog Panda Global the secret favorite?

I received a secret tip from my betting mentor that Team Panda Global, which was still considered an underdog at the time, was a very hot bet and might even be one of the favorites in the tournament. However, since we had hardly any information about Panda Global, I wanted to play it safe first and only placed a normal single bet on this team. In the event that the preliminary round went well and there were indications that our secret tip might actually be correct, I then wanted to bet on Panda Global after the first round. More about this in the following guide, in which we then play times system and combination bets and explain our remaining bets on the tournament!
