New sponsorship deals in South America

Looking at the global eSports scene, it quickly becomes clear that Brazil is one of the most important eSports destinations. In the past few days, this has once again become clear through two high sponsorship deals. We have summarized the information about the partnerships in the news.

FURIA cooperates with FTX

FURIA is the most important, most successful eSports organization in South America. FURIA announced a few days ago that they have a new sponsor on board – cryptocurrency exchange FTX. The contract was signed for one year. After all, FTX is making the commitment to FURIA cost $3.2 million. Both contracting parties have made it clear that they are aiming to cooperate for a longer period of time. The sponsorship agreement is just the beginning.

FTX completes its e-sports commitment

For the crypto exchange, the entry into FURIA is the next step in the eSports segment. Already in the previous year, the company announced that it had secured the naming rights in North America with TSM for ten years, for over 163 million US dollars. In addition, FTX is a sponsor of Riot Games' League of Legends Championship Series.

FTX's investment had already been announced in some form. TSM had started investing in Free Fire and Wild Rift teams after the FTX deal in South America. Through FURIA, the commitment is now likely to be expanded even further.

For FURIA, by the way, the cooperation with FTX is not the first high-profile sponsorship deal. The organization also works with Pokerstars, Red Bull, AOC, Santander, Twitch, betway and HyperX.

Riot Games with Santander Bank in Brazil.

Talking about Santander Bank. The financial institution has been in another headline these days. Riot Games has announced a five-year sponsorship deal with Santander Bank. The cooperation covers the entire League of Legends in Brazil. The credit institution will be present in the Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL) and in the Academy division. The Brazilian broadcasts of the Mid-Season Invitational and the League of Legends World Championship will also feature the new sponsor.

Sponsor already live

The sponsor partnership has already become visible last Saturday. In the CBLOL session final between Red Canids Kalunga vs. PaiN Gaming, the bank appeared as presenting partner. At the same time, Santander was responsible for the game's MVP ranking.

Some rest over the summer

In the coming weeks and months, the Riot Games Santander Bank partnership will not be suspended, but will be somewhat dormant. There are no high-profile events currently scheduled in the CBLOL League. The second split of the season is not scheduled until the second half of the year. Then Bank Santander's brand activation in the League of Legends in Brazil is to be expanded.

Bank Santander has recognized the potential

Bank Santander's involvement shows that eSports has been fully embraced by society. The eSport events are being incorporated by the business community into their own marketing strategies in an increasingly sustainable manner. In the banking sector, Santander is certainly taking a pioneering role. However, the sponsorships of FURIA and the CBLOL League are not the only commitments of the bank. Bank Santander is also on board the Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF).
