When things are going good – run them back! At least that’s what Seattle Surge are doing after deciding to go on a conquest next season.
The Surge confirmed today that its Call of Duty League roster will be back for the upcoming season after placing third at the championship event last month. Accuracy, Mack, Sib, and CDL Rookie of the Year Pred will make an effort to improve on Seattle's franchise record-setting 2023 campaign.
The Quick Season Recap
The Surge experienced three consecutive multi-match losing streaks throughout the 2022 CDL season, but they were able to turn things around when they needed to.
The first time this happened was in May, when Seattle started a nine-match winning streak that culminated in a 5-3 triumph over Atlanta FaZe in the Toronto Major championship match in June.
At the CDL Championship, Seattle found a new groove and defeated OpTic Texas, Toronto Ultra, and the London Royal Ravens before falling to FaZe in the losers bracket finals. Despite the defeat, Seattle's third-place showing at the season-ending competition was the greatest since the league's establishment.
Seattle appears to be in good shape for another successful season with the arrival of veteran CDL players Accuracy and Mack as well as the team's rookie pair of Sib and Pred. Pred and Sib demonstrated that they were more than prepared for the spotlight despite their relative youth and inexperience in the premier CoD league by being chosen for the 2022 CDL All-Star teams.

The Surge's path to the championship, however, is expected to be challenging because other teams in the league have changed their rosters in an effort to increase their chances of winning the world championship the following year.
However, they are the only team that didn’t make any major roster changes, which is great for team chemistry considering their previous form, and the fact that they won’t have to spend any time getting used to each other.
